Polventon House is a long established business providing residential care in St. Keverne and aims to provide high standards of care and accommodation for older people.

 

Anne and Des Underwood became the registered providers of Polventon House on the 28th April, 2006. Greg Underwood (Director) and Samantha Street (Director) oversee the the running of the home with Sarah Symonds (Registered Manager) and Lowenna Roberts (Deputy Manager) leading the teams.

 

An increasing number of our residents are requiring higher level of support; therefore we are committed to ensuring that all concerned with the care of our residents are equipped with on-going training support, seeking advice, introducing appropriate aids and equipment and being aware of the higher dependency levels.

 

Whilst we recognise that our resident’s needs are ever changing our aim is to provide them with a comfortable, relaxed, homely and secure environment in which their care and well-being is of prime importance. Our philosophy of care revolves around the rights of our residents.

 

We continue to value each individual and the care team strives to maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all residents with a warm, loving and caring atmosphere. Individual wishes and needs whether medical, psychological, emotional, cultural, spiritual or social will be respected, as will the following core values of care which are fundamental to the philosophy of our home.
