Resident Participation

We aim to give residents opportunities to participate in all aspects of life in the home. In particular, residents are regularly consulted both individually and corporately about the way the home is run. There is a Monday get together with residents that takes place every Monday afternoon, where residents, respite clients and day care clients are briefed as to what is happening in the week and are invited to make suggestions or comment on any proposals. Our objective is always to make the process of managing and running the home as transparent as possible, and to ensure that the home has an open, positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Clients are regularly, with their friends, invited to complete a questionnaire to gain feedback, a sense of customer satisfaction and as an additional means of communicating any changes or improvements they might like made. Whilst the questionnaire is private to the client the results are summarised and published annually in the Residents' Guide. The information given is considered when formulating and reviewing the Quality Improvement Plan.
